I spent my afternoon wandering around The Peak located at the rooftop of Gaisano Mall of Davao. It is a three-story extension of the mall's building with different restaurants around and a nice pool fountain at the center but the better catch here is the nice overlooking view of the city including some mountains of the nearby provinces. The Peak is the new "place-to-be" in town. It is a cheaper alternative of Jack's Ridge in Matina and has different restaurant choices. It is also more accessible especially to those coming from the northern areas of Davao City just like me.
Although many of the restaurants are yet to be completed, the place is now open to the public. Some of the establishments which are now open are Gusteau's Fud Haus, Mama Maria's Pizza, Bon Beppe Pizza, Wings and Dips and Figaro but I can estimate that as of today at least 75% of all the possible establishments have yet to open.
The place reminds me of Trinoma Mall in Quezon City but much better. After strolling around and taking some pictures, I ordered a drink in Figaro and sat just outside the store for a natural air and nice view. I heard that it is better to go there at night because of the gorgeous lights around the place including the fountain which changes it's color.
This place is perfect for dinner date because of the romantic view of the city at night . You can choose to have an al-fresco dining for a nice view or inside for the air conditioned room.

You can access The Peak through food court in the 4th floor (excluding the lower ground floor) during mall hours or via the parking way after mall hours.
